Go to PoF/EoD maps and get from there your hero points, they are easier and faster to get, even without a HP train, because those will give you 10 while WvW HP only give 1. If you do wvw, the absolutely fastest way is to buy the hero points via the heroics notary vendor, it takes a minute to unlock Hot and PoF hero points. Otherwise, in Hot, join a hp train (some hero points are doable solo, too) . PoF hps are soloable, but a hero point train makes it fast, too.
Pretty sure it literally told you you cant respec but will be able to learn another spec at a certain "level" when you got to the point of selecting. Unfortunately you cannot respec professions. You open up the other specializations at 50 and 100 skill for herbalism, so just sit on any knowledge you gain until then.
