Thank you for the information. The gearbox is a EAT 6 and it does have an Actuator to relay the commands on the column lever to the gearbox. I can understand that the Actuator could be faulty not selecting manual but cannot see how this would prevent the "Paddles" from working as they work instantly and wont rely on a motor activating the gearbox. I think I resolved it by deleting the pairing, switching the phone off and on again, and then starting the process all over again. Also make sure the phone is 'discoverable' - sometimes it's in the Bluetooth settings. I'm not sure how exactly I got there, but I did in the end!
